Grenada Citizenship by Investment Programme

Embark on Your Journey with the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Programme

Grenada stands as a prime choice for discerning high-net-worth individuals. Since its revitalization in 2013, the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Programme has attracted the attention of those seeking a second citizenship, especially those with larger families.

Through Grenada’s Programme, successful applicants can attain citizenship and, subsequently, a passport facilitating travel to over 140 countries and territories. Yet, the allure of Grenada extends far beyond its economic and international advantages.

Affectionately known as the “Spice Island” due to its storied history of cultivating and trading spices, Grenada boasts a perpetual tropical climate, enhanced by soothing trade winds that complement its abundant sunshine. Beyond this, Grenada offers a plethora of lifestyle perks, including exceptional healthcare, a robust education system, and a reputation as one of the safest nations in the Caribbean. Its breathtaking scenery, rich biodiversity, delectable cuisine, and welcoming community add to the island’s charm.

The Grenada citizenship by investment programme extends a host of benefits, including:

  • Generational Legacy: Pass on the gift of citizenship to future generations.
  • Lifelong Citizenship: Enjoy citizenship for life, granting the right to reside and work in the country.
  • Dual Citizenship: Embrace the freedom of dual citizenship.

Upon obtaining Grenadian citizenship through the Citizenship by Investment Programme, economic citizens may apply for a Grenada passport at the Passport Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force. Alternatively, economic citizens can appoint a third party to apply on their behalf, making the process even more convenient.

Grenadian passports, recognized as CARICOM passports, grant citizens access to over 140 countries and territories worldwide. These biometric documents enhance security and expedite cross-border procedures. Ordinary Grenadian passports have a five-year validity and can be renewed at various official locations.

The passport application process operates independently from the citizenship by investment process and necessitates the submission of specific documents, including a certified copy of the applicant’s Certificate of Registration, issued at the conclusion of the citizenship by investment process.

Whenever Grenada passport holders seek passport renewal due to expiration, they must present their old Grenada passport, which will be invalidated upon issuance of the new one.

Please note that there is a slight increase in the Turn-Around-Time for Application Receipt Letters. The Grenada CIU has advised that due to a recent surge in applications, the Turn-Around-Time (TAT) for issuing Application Receipt Letters will now be 72 working hours.

The Grenada Citizenship by Investment application process comprises seven sequential steps:

  1. Application and Pre-approval by CS Global Partners
  2. Submission of Citizenship Application
  3. Government Processing and Due Diligence Checks
  4. Approval in Principle
  5. Investment in National Transformation Fund or Pre-Approved Real Estate
  6. Issuance of Citizenship Certificate
  7. Passport Application
